Standards of conduct and prohibited activities when using the Pubs Management platform.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules that apply to your use of the Pubs Management platform. This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
1. Scope
This AUP applies to all Users of the Platform, including account administrators, managers, and staff members. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP.
2. Prohibited Activities
You must not use the Platform to:
- Engage in any activity that is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful
- Transmit or store material that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive, or that incites hatred or discrimination
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party
- Collect, process, or store personal data in violation of applicable data protection legislation
- Send unsolicited communications (spam) through the Platform's communication features
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, other accounts, or systems connected to the Platform
- Introduce viruses, trojans, worms, or any other malicious or technologically harmful material
- Use the Platform for any purpose other than the legitimate business operations for which it is intended
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features of the Platform
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Platform without our express written permission
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Platform to third parties without authorisation
3. Content Standards
Any content uploaded to or transmitted through the Platform must:
- Be accurate and not misleading (where it states facts)
- Comply with applicable law in the United Kingdom and in any country from which it is posted
- Not contain material that promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
- Not contain material that promotes violence or illegal activity
- Respect the privacy and data protection rights of others
4. Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
- Ensuring that access to the Platform by your Users is appropriately managed, including timely removal of access for departing employees
- Reporting any suspected security incidents or vulnerabilities to hello@pubsmanagement.com promptly
- Keeping your devices and systems that access the Platform reasonably secure and up to date
5. Enforcement
We may take any or all of the following actions if we reasonably determine that a violation of this AUP has occurred:
- Issue a written warning
- Temporarily suspend access to the Platform
- Permanently terminate access to the Platform
- Remove or disable access to content that violates this AUP
- Report the matter to law enforcement authorities where we reasonably believe a criminal offence has been or may be committed
We will, where practicable, provide notice before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Platform, other Users, or third parties.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to hello@pubsmanagement.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.
